"Votta’s journey began in a backyard with an old Neapolitan brick oven..."

Pizzaiolo and Votta founder Dan Gomez had a passion for perfecting true Neapolitan pizza. He spent years traveling, researching, experimenting, and learning from other skilled pizzaiolos, refining his craft around the fundamentals; proper dough making, fermentation, balance, and high-quality ingredients.
For years, Dan served his pizzas to family and friends, and before long, “Pizza Sunday” became a tradition at the Gomez household. Friends and family gathered around the oven for a Pizza Degustazione, an omakase-style, chef-curated experience. What began as casual backyard cooking quickly became a highly anticipated weekly event!
After years of encouragement from friends and family, Dan ultimately decided to take his pizza beyond the backyard.
The name Votta is a nod to Daniel’s Italian heritage on his mother’s side. His mother, Silvia Botta, traces her roots to Marsico Nuovo, a small town south of Napoli. “Votta” reflects the original ancestral form of the family name before it was altered to Botta during the immigration process to Argentina.
Today, Votta honors those roots bringing together tradition, flavor and community around a wood-fired oven, one pizza at a time.
